Applying for Energy Assistance at your local Wisconsin Heating Energy Assistance Agency or WHEAP agency is the FIRST STEP in determining your eligibility for weatherization services. If you are eligible for weatherization services based on your WHEAP application, your information will be referred to the local weatherization agency. The weatherization agency will make arrangements to have an energy auditor will look at your home.

Weatherization services differ with each home depending on how it was built and its condition. Common weatherization services include: insulation of attics/walls/floors; insulation/replacement of water heater; installation of energy efficient lighting; repair/replace furnace; test/replace refrigerator; general health/safety inspection; or providing energy conservation information.
