Through fundraising efforts and donations, Horse Spirit provides horse-related activities for Veterans and family members at no cost to them. These activities help Veterans transition from military to civilian life and/or learn coping skills and/or reduce any problems that may have occurred while in the military. Veterans who take part in the program are from all eras. The focus is to have the horses help Veterans learn new ways to manage their energy levels, calm themselves down, focus, get grounded, and learn to trust again.
